Baby going to sleep

My son sleeps through the naught and takes a nap every 2 to 3hrs, he's 6months old since he was 2months he started sleeping through the night hut here's the thing I have to show him that my eyes are closed to get him to fall asleep. My question is do any other parents have to close their eyes to get your babies to sleep in their crib or bed??
