Boyfriends dad called me a bitch

This past holiday weekend this is the second time he called me that. I mean, he does it in a kidding matter but it makes me feel awkward and uncomfortable.

I never really told my boyfriend it bothers me because I always forget to after they leave but then I randomly think of it and I’m like wow I do not want to be near that. I didn’t end up going to my boyfriends family party because I just needed a minute to myself and have a few hours to myself. I go to all of his family functions and haven’t missed one since we started dating. And I always see his family. My boyfriend has a family function at least once a weekend. Which is fine I love family but it leaves less time for me to do my own stuff or even see my friends and family. Anyway, I wanted to get some work done and my boyfriend doesn’t care if I go or not and he was only there an hour. But when my boyfriends dad saw me he was like “yeah thanks for coming to the party. When I saw you weren’t there I was like that Bitch”

I awkwardly smiled or changed the subject but next time I’m going to say I prefer not to be called that. I know he is kidding but it’s weird and it’s not funny and I just want to be shown some respect.

Idk I’m annoyed now just thinking about it. I know I need to talk to my bf but I hate bringing stuff up from the past honestly.
