Help! How to survive 1st Trimester after loss?
Update for anyone reading in future. Now 27 weeks with a perfectly healthy little boy. All that stress for nothing🤦🏻♀️
Our background: this is my 6th pregnancy. I’ve had 3 chemicals, one blighted ovum and one MMC at 8wks (from 1st FET)
This pregnancy is after our 4th FET, and with our last 2 embryos.
I got our first positive 6dp5dt on a cheapie and we were thrilled. But with chemicals in our past we waited for the lines to get darker. Which they did, so we have ruled that out. (See line progression attached below)
Our Betas
9dp5dt- 137
11dp5dt- 353
17dp5dt- 2730
My concern is that for a full doubling to have happened it should have been 2824. (Difference of 95)
My nurse wasn’t concerned at all and was happy it was over 2,000. But I know that it should have doubled, and ideally been more than that. And as much as I would love to be able to fully put my faith in this pregnancy, I feel more armored up than ever.
I know I have to relax and give this baby a chance to thrive, but I can’t help but find a reason to prepare myself for the worst. To put a shield around myself and brace for impact.
In everyone’s experience is *almost* doubling still okay? Or is it more likely this is the first sign of things to come?
I’m looking for some reassurance, and maybe some suggestions on how to get through the first trimester alive and sane.
