After being sooo anxious to finally give birth and meet my daughter the time has finally come. Went to the hospital July 6th due to cramping and was only 3cm dilated so they sent me home . I’ve been having cramps ever since then , so on Friday July 9th I woke up . Decided to run a few errands and take a walk with my toddler (daughter) .. That night I started having contractions again so I decided to go to l&d because they were coming very fast and strong. Once I got there I got monitored and they checked my cervix and I was still a 3 from the other day being there . They said they’ll keep me and monitor me for another hour or 2 because my contractions were frequent. So when they checked me I only progressed to a 4 but I was in sooo much pain they decided to admit me. I was progressing sooo slowly that they started me on pitocin which didn’t really help because I still progress slow. So the dr decided to break my water and once she did that BOOM I was at a 5 and decided to get the epidural because the pain was unbearable. 15 minutes later they came and gave me the epidural. By the time I got the epidural everything was too late because I was fully dilated just minutes after getting that epidural and I felt everything. From the contractions to the ring of fire from pushing . I pushed for a total of 9 minutes and baby girl was born 7lbs 9.5oz after being in labor for 30+ hours.
