This is an update on my step son that is a little weird but I love the message behind it.

The first real heart to heart me and my step son had I had told you guys was when we were sitting on the porch. I told him if he still wanted to consider himself a virgin because none of the sex he had was consensual then he could and his virginity is something he chooses to give away. He was gone today and he came back and sat on my bed and said he wanted to tell me something. I said what and he said he hooked up with someone. I was like "Wow... Uh okay". I get most 17 year old are having sex but that caught me off guard. He said he was talking to a person from his old school they decided they wanted to hook up. But he said "But for once something was on my terms. I chose to do it! I gave them my virginity". I told him I hope it was special and he said "Not really. We did it in their car". I said "Oh Jesus". And he said "But the point is I had a choice. I could have said yes or no and I did say no the first time they talked about it, but this time was yes. It was my yes." You know what. If he felt like he took his power back. That's all that matters. I did ask who it was and he said that's for him to know. I said "Girl? Boy?" Because in not gonna assume his sexuality and he again said "For me to know" but he hugged me and asked if I wanted to watch brother bear with him for the 37th time. I swear I'm just gonna start calling him Kenai.
