Blocked tube and trigger shot

I have a blocked right fallopian tube due to an ectopic.

I took letrozole 5mg this month dor ovulation induction. Unfortunately, I had 2 folicles on the right ovary, none on the left. My doctor still asked me to take a trigger shot “just in case” and we are going ahead with TI.

I have read that the remaining tube can catch egg after tube removal. I have not come across any information about the open tube compensating for the blocked tube.

Any insights?
