Hopeful

Jaclyn

My husband and I tried for three years to get pregnant with our first child, who is now four. We had not a single positive test in three years. Through all of our testing and infertility appointments everything came back normal, so the only option before resorting to IVF at that time, according to my infertility specialist, was a laparoscopy. It was discovered that I had mild endometriosis, it was then lasered off, and we were given six months to get pregnant on our own. On the third month we became pregnant. Flash forward to today, we have tried for almost a year for baby number two, I went to my OB/GYN and expressed that I would like to explore options for assistance in getting pregnant. She had a completely different approach and thought it would be beneficial for us to try Clomid and timed ovulation. I did the five days of Clomid, and then around day 14 of my cycle I had my ultrasound which showed everything anatomically looked well and I had two follicles in my left ovary and one in my right and all three were about 30 mm. I did the Ovidrel Injection and six days later they tested my progesterone level which was at 55 ng/ml… which is pretty high. Anyone else have a similar experience? I can take my first test on Saturday and I’m very nervous/hopeful.
