Baby transition from crib to bed?

Hello,
I am in the process of buying a crib and one such option can be converted into a toddler bed, after the baby stage. Chalking up whether it is worth it, or better to just buy a regular crib, then when needed get an actual adult size bed? Am I better off to get the crib which converts to toddler bed? I have noooo idea! First baby coming!

Probably depends a bit on how many/how soon you want other kids - if you’re having another not too long after the first then you would probably be fine doing just a crib, since you’d move the older one into a toddler bed and free up the space for another baby

We used convertible crib for awhile but my daughter loved it the first week then still felt like it was her baby bed so we bought her a princess toddler bed. If ur planning a second baby i would buy whichever is more affordable because u might need the crib for a baby when ur toddler can make the transition

We went with the convertible crib. Our fist will be 2 in January 2022 and plan on converting to the toddler bed around that time. Ours will also convert to a full size bed in a few years also. We did the math and for us it made more sense to just get the convertible type and purchase the conversion kits with it.
