I had a wonderful relationship with my dad before he passed. I had hit the age where we could become friends and he was one of my best friends.

I have a better relationship with him than my other siblings, but it's not really saying much. I love my father and I was 100% a daddy's girl, but he's shit at keeping in touch so if you don't contact him there's a huge chance he won't contact you. My oldest brother and him get along great whenever they're around eachother, but it's been a rarity here lately and pretty much only happens when I organize everyone to hang out (which is very rare now that I live in a different state). But I know he cares because when my mom thought I was acting depressed when she came up to visit he messaged me frequently to check on me. And I'm also his beneficiary. It's an odd relationship
