Physical therapy
Over a month ago, my midwife diagnosed me with Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction, aka, pelvic girdle pain. After waiting weeks for an opening, I finally had physical therapy today.
Omg...the initial assessment hurt like hell and I almost wanted to cry. But I found out, not only do I have SPD, but I have uneven hip that has been a reason for my chronic back pain for the last few years and I have diastasis recti.
It was a little overwhelming to know I had all these issues wrong with me but it's reassuring to know my therapist is confident she can help me.
I'm glad I listened to my body, cause my midwife just kinda told me I was stuck with it until I give birth.
Now I'm just waiting for paperwork from my midwife, so I can have work restrictions. I do alot of walking and I think it's what aggravates my pelvic pain, so being on restrictions, I think I will have better progress with therapy if I limit activity.
