Start of labor? Contractions

Question

FTM here (39 w + 3 days). I think I am starting to have contractions. Using an app to time them. Seems like they are coming in every 15 min (lasting a min long).  Assuming it can be hours before they start coming in every 5 min!? Not sure what to expect!!!

They’re getting closer! About 6-8 minute apart. Called my dr, she said to come in to hospital when 3-5 min apart. She warned me it may take hours as this is my first baby. Hope it doesn’t take all day!

Keep timing them. I hope today is your day!!! I’m right behind you at 39 weeks exactly and I’m soooo ready for baby. Good luck!

Keep going, mama. With my first, I timed my contractions for a whole day. It was so exciting to see how much closer they got. Once they got down to 4-5 min apart, we called our L&D. Thankfully we only live 5 min away from our hospital & we had all our bags ready. ❤️
