I tell my wife stories about little Ms. Know it all. She said that she thinks the people on this app would enjoy hearing about it. Someone asked me to teach a Phlebotomy class. So I agreed. I have a student who worked as a phlebotomist but wasn't licenced so now she's getting licensed. She loves to interrupt and"correct" me. She's not correcting me. She's saying how she does things and in teaching what will be on the exam. I remember a couple weeks ago when they were practicing on her she has smaller veins so I told her partner to use a butterfly needle. With needles like that I say use a syringe instead of vacuum tube because the vacuum could collapsed her vein. Little Ms. Know it all told her partner to just use the vacuum and guess what... Her vein collapsed and she was all pissy because she had a bruise. Guess what happened with Ms. Know it all today. She asked me to try to draw artery blood to show students the difference and I said no because that's dangerous. Little Ms. Know it all got a needle during practicing her sticks and starts just STABBING her arm trying to find an artery. Now I'm not gonna go run and grab the needle from her and risk getting stuck. No sir. So I told her she will be receiving a write up and then I see her look like she just got electrocuted and I knew right away... She hit a tendon.
