Banks are a scam?

Okay I have a question sooo for those who have money saved NOT in the banks but either home or maybe a save lock. Where would you recommend would be the best place/option if you would take all your money from the bank and place it somewhere else?  I wanna take some out and have some in case of an emergency. I wouldn’t know where to hide it honestly

I’m surprised no one has mentioned credit unions. I prefer them over banks, and it’s safer than keeping large amounts of cash at home.

We have a minimal amount of cash in our safe, which is protected with a code, but the rest of our money is in…banks! The horror.

Why would I want to save it outside a saying account? You would literally be losing money. 
The value of money can be decreased over time and if it's not being invested in a  bank, that money you've saved in your home will not be worth its value anymore in a few years.
Meanwhile in a bank you'll be making a couple of bucks out of the amount saved, you just have to pick one with a good interest.

This is largely up to you and where is a good hiding place in your home. If everyone comments where they hide money that negates the value of a good hiding spot. I would just suggest somewhere that is inconvenient to get to so you won't touch it.

A good hiding spot is where no one would think twice to look. Don’t hide it under a mattress because people who break in will look there.
