Medicaid question

I currently have Medicaid and it expires in October...

I however am back with my baby daddy, and we did get legally married but I haven’t changed my name or even picked up the marriage license yet.

He makes 70k a year but we have 3500 a month in bills.. that leaves us with about 500 for gas and groceries for the month... so it may seem like he makes a lot of money but because of bills and the economy where we live we don’t have extra usually.

My point is I have to reapply for Medicaid. We have 2 kids and I’m currently pregnant. The insurance from his employer is over 400$ a paycheck and we wouldn’t be able to afford that.

Which leads me to my important question... Will the state possibly approve Medicaid for my kids and I? Even if he doesn’t get it? I have c sections because I am a high risk patient and don’t know how I’m going to afford insurance and a copay if I don’t get Medicaid again... again help or tips are greatly appreciated.

And believe me if I had the ability to not rely on state insurance I wouldn’t. But with credit and car payments, insurance rent and everything else. It’s very hard to have extra money now days. I just don’t know that Medicaid will understand that. Also do I include him or just myself on my new application? Like I have no idea what to do

*i understand we all have to be on the application

My question was do you think they’ll approve us based on the income... bc it seems like we make a lot but we really can’t afford insurance any other way.
