I’m 8 weeks as of today. Yesterday evening, I had some spotting happen while using the restroom. I called my Midwife’s office and was informed the last doctor just left for the hospital. They told me I could wait for a call/referral the following day for an HCG test, or head down to their Urgent Care and have them do an HCG test that evening. (The bleeding had since stopped)

So I drove down just to have my blood drawn. No ultrasound to check for baby or heartbeat. They referred me to have an Ultrasound done..(but that office can’t get me in until July 23rd at 10pm)

I now have to go back tonight to have the second blood test drawn to compare HCG numbers on that I probably won’t get a call about until Monday)

I called the OBGYN to see if they could now follow up on my chart and see what the next steps are- and now see if they would provide me with an ultrasound. She has nothing available until August. (I am scheduled for my first visit/bedside ultrasound on July 27th)

I guess I just don’t get why checking for a heartbeat is this hard.

I scheduled a private sneak peek ultrasound on Tuesday. Hopefully HCG levels are good.

***UPDATE*** My doctors office got is in for an ultrasound. Baby measured at 7w6 days and according to ovulation days it’s 8weeks 1 day.

Also we saw a heartbeat!
