What do you all think?
It’s after noon here and my husband is still sleeping. I told him that I needed more help with our 10 month old daughter. I’ve posted about how he doesn’t do bedtimes or nap times. That it’s all been me since she was 3 months old. So last night he put her to bed and since she’s not used to him doing it, it took about an hour or so of fussing. While this was going on I kept myself busy in another room in the house and basically just let him get a feel of what it’s been like for me. I felt terrible at first and then I thought I should because he should be more involved with things like this.
So when we went to bed I handed him the monitor for him to keep on his side of the bed. We agreed that Fridays and Saturdays I would get a break. Our daughter woke up at 1:30 with an air bubble. When she did I heard him say “alright… well here we go…” To which I didn’t say anything and because it probably would have been sarcastic. He has her back down in less than 10 minutes. She was up again at 5:20 according to owlet. She was up for about and hour it looks like. LO woke up at 10 and I got up with her. He was still sleeping. I had to take a break while writing this and it’s 12:30. He’s still asleep. He sleeps late on weekends and I’m kind of like I don’t get to sleep in late no matter the day and also I feel like after 12 is pretty ridiculous for getting up during the night. Lol 😂
I feel like it’s good for him to experience this.
Forgot to add before: I had a lunch at church today. I don’t get out of the house much. It started at 1 and it is now 1. I still need to get ready and he’s still asleep. I was really looking forward to it and now I don’t think I’ll go.
