I finished my cycle on the 9th July, and yesterday (17th July) I noticed I was spotting brown/pink blood. I have all the symptoms of ovulation, including several fertility/cycle tracking apps predicting my ovulation to be on this day. I had unprotected sex, and he came in me. We are both young, healthy and already have an 11 month old daughter together.

I have a very regular cycle, and have never before experienced mid cycle spotting. Is this a symptom of ovulation? Does anyone else spot when they ovulate? I’m assuming this would be a high pregnancy risk? Or due to the blood would that be less likely? We are not actively trying for a baby, but we are not preventing it either. We just want to know the likelihood of anything coming of it, being only a once off?
