Wisdom Teeth Removal Complications

I had all four wisdom teeth removed a few weeks ago, and it took a while for the swelling to reduce (they had to give me stronger meds after I went through the first bottle). I’m on vacation right now, and the gum around my back molar on one side is inflamed again. Since I can’t see my oral surgeon right now, I’m wondering if anyone else has had their inflammation mostly resolve and then come back. I’m assuming it’s just inflamed again because I chew on that side more, and since I’m snacking a lot this week, the sudden change might just be too much for my mouth right now. Does my assumption seem pretty probable or are there other things I should be worried about?
