My sons 3rd time having a stye in the past month... why does he keep getting this? It doesn’t seem to bother him but I’m still curious

Does he run his eyes a lot? Styes are  usually created from bacteria. So if he’s rubbing his eyes with dirty hands, he’ll be more prone to them.

I got them often as a child the doctor said it was mainly due to me being highly allergic to dust and dirt but eventually they stopped popping up

My niece was constantly  getting styes from an overactive Meibomian gland . Her styes were huge and inflamed . She had surgery but unfortunately she continues to get them .
