I am just so frustrated today with working. We recently had someone go on maternity leave and I am the only other person who can do their job. My baby is 9 months and we just found out he is needing tubes in his ears. We tried to schedule to do it on a day I am already off due to being closed, but the doctor only does them on certain days. I talked to my boss this morning and asked if there was any possible way I could get the day off to go to the surgery. All I got back was "No, I need you here for the 12 weeks I don't have anyone else." I get the aspect of not having anyone else to do the job, but I didn't even get a "let me see if there's anything we could do" just a flat out no. So freaking frustrating.
