Car seat BASE needed or not?

Hi mamas!! I am due to have a baby boy any moment now and I have purchased the Chicco Best Friend Trio Set that comes including the car seat.
I know have a doubt, can I just put that in the car as it is or does it needs a base to be bought separately to be installed in the car?

For safety, the base should be installed, and definitely on its own before putting the car seat in

Bases are not required for most infant car seats, but help you easily get the correct angle needed for a safe install. I had a base in my car and one in my nanny’s car so we could just click my daughter in and not have to worry about installing with the belt.

not required but definitely helpful. i lost my base during a house fire i had so ill be using the carseat (it was at my in laws) without a base.

If it doesn’t come with it (I think it should though?) I would highly recommend getting a base. You can use most infant car seats without, but the base is so much easier!

Idk if it's required but it definitely makes it a ton easier than trying to fumble with the seat belt over the carseat. Just pop it on the base & done!

Base isn’t a must, it’s ok to use without one. For daily car it’s probably easier with base but for ubers/cabs, I didn’t use base.
