Is it possible to miss your LH surge through testing?

I’ve only been testing once a day, in the morning when I get up. Yesterday morning when I put the ovulation picture into one of my apps it said “high-71%”, then last night I had a LOT of EWCM, like so much it was dripping down as I was laying in bed so husband and I did the deed, then this morning I got up and took an ovulation test and it said “high-22%”.

Is it possible I surged last night but didn’t get a positive/peak ovulation test because I didn’t test last night?
