Will I be protected?

I just started taking the pill on Friday and my doc said I have to wait two weeks to be able to have sex without another form of contraception. But today I got distracted and forgot to take it but took it 2.5 hours later? Will I be ok? Or should I now wait longer than two weeks?

I’m currently on my period and haven’t had in about a week.
