I had an ultrasound scheduled today however it was going to cost $350 out of pocket to meet my $450 deductible. What’s the point of insurance when I can’t even afford it? I can’t afford $350 all at once. I just want to see and make sure my baby is healthy. I’ve looked into buying individual health coverage, but I’m in the limbo between making enough to scrape by and making too much to get government insurance.

My bf is a first time dad and they also won’t allow him to hear the heartbeat? I’m just so hurt by my circumstances and cried leaving my OBGYN.
