How many retrievals ??

Just transferred my last embryo from my 3rd retrieval and I’m almost 100% sure it’s a failure... 1st and 2nd round I got my son and a c section ectopic .. how many cycles is too many?? Can you do 4? Has anyone done 4 or more ? Should I give up ?

Hi Brandie, I don’t think there’s an upper limit to how many rounds, really depends on your desire to carry on and your life situation. If you have strong motivation to carry on then you should! I know some women really benefit from a break from the hormones etc.. I hope your recent transfer suprises you and it turns out positive! Wishing you all the best and take care of yourself xxx

Not sure if you have an insta but this women has been an inspiration for me and she is on her 6th! So there is no limit! Just have faith it will all work out and keep trying! Don’t give up 💕

I've done 3 retreivals and 3 transfers- 1 MC and 2 failed implantations. I don't think there's such thing as too many, more of just what you're able to handle. I've taken 2 breaks (3 if you count COVID but that was more forced). This can be so mentally draining for me so sometimes I need to regroup. I know the financial burden isn't the best, either. I honestly think it's all about finding the balance for you. I, personally, have sworn off anymore retreivals BUT I know I'd probably change my mind later if push came to shove. This shit is just so hard and I'm sorry youre even in this boat ❤
Do you want to throw in the towel? What are your feelings on it? Have you had any additional testing done?

Insurance would allow me 6 rounds, which my understanding meant 6 full rounds including  retrievals and transfers

I have done 4 retrievals, I have 5 embryos on ice. There is a chance I may do one more. I have had 5 miscarriages-transfers and natural, and a failed transfer as well.

How many retrievals ??
