Metformin ?

My doctor started me on metformin 1000mg , because of not having a regular period and not being able to get pregnant. I was just wondering how long it took for it to work and also how long before the vomiting start after you started if it made you sick? Thanks in advance!

I've never heard vomiting as a side effect but I do know diarrhea is common with that medication

Diarrhea diarrhea diarrhea take it with a full big meal and before bed that way when u have to go to the bathroom it will be when u wake up in the morning and you can get it out of your way I’m on 1000mg also took a month or couple weeks to get my period back btw I recommend having orange juice or sweets in the house since your new on the pill it might make your sugar too low you know it’s a pill for diabetes

I didn’t experience symptoms. I always take my metformin at bedtime. It toke 5 months.

It made my tummy very upset. I was only able to handle 500mg. But everyone is different and I have tummy problems in general. 
For me I haven’t got pregnant yet. I have been on it for 1 1/2 years.
