2month old keeps grabbing his ear?

Could this be a comfort thing or should I call his pediatrician? He keeps grabbing on his ear, I’m not sure if it’s just something new and he’s trying to figure himself out, if it’s a comfort thing or if maybe it is hurting him ? Anyone gone through a similar situation?

My older son used to do that when he was tired or when he was starting to get uncomfortable from teething.

My daughter does this as well! Only to her left ear and only when she gets fussy during breastfeeding. My mom said it’s normal and not to worry unless she’s doing it at other times/is clearly in pain (which she’s not).
