Ultrasound

I am currently 11 weeks pregnant. I just went for an dating ultrasound and the tech was pushing really hard. Even at one point she was holding the wand thing over where the baby is but still pressing hard. This is my 3rd pregnancy the first was a c section and the second was a pregnancy loss that I needed a d&C for. Could that be why she was pressing hard ? Is it normal for them to do that ? Or am I just be paroniod ?

It's normal. Pushing hard won't do any damage, and also isn't due to any previous losses or delivery methods. It's just how they need to use the doppler sometimes to see the baby clearer.

I think you’re overthinking things a bit. Sometimes they have to press a little harder to see what they need to see.

At 11 weeks I’ve only had transvaginal ultrasounds because it’s very hard to see anything abdominally. That’s probably why they had to push hard. Baby is low and small to see on an abdominal ultrasound
