Did evening primrose oil help you dialate/ go into labor ?

I used evening primrose oil and drank raspberry leaf tea with my second pregnancy who was born at 39+2. I got to the hospital around 7:30-8 am and my baby was born around 11:45 am with just 3-4 pushes. With my first (that I did not use either the tea or oil, he was born at 40+2) I had gotten to the hospital around 3-4 pm and baby was born right after midnight after an hour or a little over an hour of pushing. I don’t know if the tea and oil made a difference but my second was definitely easier 🤷🏼‍♀️ I plan on using it again this pregnancy

My midwives said not to use it because most recent studies show it increased the length of labor and risk it hemorrhage
