Is this baby acne?

Is this baby acne? Doesn’t seem to bother her, but looks so bad it makes me so upset. If your little one had baby acne, how long did it last? and did you do anything to help fix it or just leave it alone?

Yep, just keep it clean and dry.  It’s hormonal so it’ll clear up with that alone.  Creams aren’t necessary and can make it worse xx

Someone here posted about this the other day and someone else suggested washing their face in the morning and evening. I’ve done that the past few days and my baby’s face acne went away.

Looks like baby acne. All 3 of my girls have had it, my youngest (6 weeks tomorrow) just got over it. Usually hits my kids around week 4-5. I wipe their faces down with a wet water only washcloth a few times a day and it seems to clear it up in about a week.

This actually looks more like a rash or allergy to me! I’m not an expert but that’s a large surface area for baby acne

Could be baby acne, but could also be a heat rash! My daughter developed it out of nowhere around 12 weeks (never had a mark of baby acne before that) and her doctor suggested keeping her in lighter clothing, taking down the temperature of her bath water slightly for a little while, applying cool breastmilk to the area, and making sure she wasn’t wrapped in too many blankets when being held close to body heat. She was born in February (2020) so it was around the time the weather warmed up at the beginning of the summer that it started. Within a week of making sure she wasn’t getting too warm too often it cleared up and never came back.

You can try putting breastmilk on it. It might help cleat it up.

My baby girl had baby acne and I washed her face every morning and I noticed it wasn’t really going away. My husband and I got scared we got sick so we stopped kissing her cheeks etc. it went away almost instantly. If you kiss baby’s cheeks saliva could be making it worse
