Did u cut the tags off new clothes before baby arrived?

Hi!
Trying to pack maternity bag and in the country I am in we have to stay a min of 2 days in hospital. Therefore, need to have some outfits prepared. Did you leave tags on so u could exchange clothes if they did not fit? 
Feeling so overwhelmed with organising 😂🙈 please give me your experience/ thoughts and thank you!

I took tags off and washed everything in newborn and 0-3 sizes before baby arrived, I only had a handful of newborn outfits and more in 0-3 and it was all gender neutral since we didn’t know what we were having. She was in newborn for a month and after she was born we were gifted a ton of 0-3 and 3-6 girl clothes so those were washed as we got them.

I’m washing everything only because it’s my first child and I plan on having more babies! I want them close together too so the clothes won’t be in storage long! Plus my SIL is starting the have babies now too so we can trade out clothes as well!

My baby is 9 weeks and still fits about half her newborn stuff (depends on brand/style) so I’m glad I washed everything beforehand because she wore all of it and we didn’t have to do laundry right away.

I washed everything and removed tags and went overboard. Should have only done that for a handful of things. I washed a bunch of 6 months things for summer because my baby was expected to be on the bigger size. She didn’t fit in them until she was about 9 months old (December) so it was totally pointless and I could have returned them all. Probably my biggest first time mom mistake. coulda saved A LOT of money. 
My advice would be wash a few things you know you’ll use, but leave the rest until you know you’ll use it. Don’t wash until it’s ready to be worn and remove tags when it’s ready to be washed.

I stupidly washed EVERYTHING. I WISH I JUST WASHED THE 0-3 and up. Washing all the newborn clothes was dumb on my part. My son fit in newborn for 3 days. If I have another child someday, I will wash maybe 3 newborn outfits and then wash all the other sizes since I know they’ll eventually fit. But no need to wash all the newborn immediately since if baby is too big then you miss out on being able to return. 
But definitely on put washed clothes on baby. Their skin is so sensitive. We actually had to rewash all our clothes in all free & clear since he broke out just being against our clothes.

I did but I would say only wash a handful at a time because there were so many he didn’t even wear.
