I had no symptoms coming up to this. My husband and I started trying November 2019 when I was 39. It is now July 2021. I am 40. My cycles have typically always been 30 days but as time went on, (or maybe just the crazy pandemic stress)... My cycles kept shortening. 29? 28? 27? I had one cycle that was 20. Ugh. In May 2021 I literally had the cycle from hell. I had an anovulatory bleed where when I started bleeding at ovulation and then just kept spotting THE ENTIRE Month. This had never happened to me before and my husband and I worried I had a serious medical issue. We find someone who would do OBGyn exam for self pay patients and even gave me an ultrasound. He said my ovaries and uterus are healthy and everything looks great and to not despair. Told me to let my body run a full cycle and to trust it. First time I met this Dr. and he put my heart at ease.

So my two weeks of heavy spotting finally stops.

I have four days of a normal period.... And then OPK + at cd10. We BD the night before but I went for it again the day of, during the day too! We almost never do BD during the day since we have 2 kiddos. (But there was an opportunity!) I also decided to get the vaccine, and the pharmacist said take Tylenol in case of pregnancy if I have pain. I've been so much paying attention to any possible vaccine symptoms (there were none except a sore arm) that all of the sudden the 2WW was done.

CD 28. No spotting or signs of AF.

CD 29. No spotting and no symptoms.

CD 30. Okay this is weird. I haven't had this long a cycle in 17 months. But I know I ovulated right? No symptoms of anything.

CD 31. Totally no symptoms. But BD with hubby felt particularly extra good.

CD 32. I am not POAS. I only have one left. But... Curiously... I have a lot of OPK sticks. Maybe I'll try one of those. And then The OPK picked up almost as strong a line as a +. I know LH and Hcg are both glycoproteins but....

I immediately peed on a stick.

Ladies... The first line immediately showed up SO DARK that I kept checking the read out display. Do I have this upside down? That's the control window right? No. It was in fact BOTH windows. .... I am pregnant. I told my husband. We are keeping it to ourselves for now. But I quietly closed the door and praised God for opening my womb and gifting me with life and I promise to serve in his will.

I am 4W6days pregnant. I am 40. 20 cycles of trying. Supplements didn't do it for me. Just cleaning up my stress levels at home and focusing on being the best appreciative and humble wife and mother I can be currently brought me here.
