Last night I came home from work with a low grade fever, body aches, headache, and sore throat. Today I called in sick and went to the doctor to get tested for strep since I was vaccinated against COVID back in March. (Of course they did the usual COVID and influenza A/B swab too - all negative.) I won’t find out the results of the strep test until tomorrow but I was put on penicillin just in case since I have a history of having strep. Has anyone had any issues with being prescribed an antibiotic while pregnant? I was told that penicillin, amoxicillin, and similar antibiotics were okay during pregnancy…🤷🏼‍♀️ I just want to make sure baby will be fine.
