Spotting after sex

Hi this is a reassurance post. I def felt like making this because I’m processing and was caught off guard.

So I have been on the pill for around three years now, my boyfriend and I just had pretty rough sex and afterwards there was blood on the sheets. I went into sex tonight a little stressed, and my mind was elsewhere, so I can understand being dry when he was doing his thing. (Leading to tears, etc.)

I just wanted to post this out because subconsciously I have concerned on whether or not I should see a doctor. My period ended about three days ago, and my cycle is incredibly consistent.

Honestly, I think I’m just looking for reassurance or others who can relate tonight. Thanks for your time if our read the whole thing
