Confused 😭

So I am 2-3 days late for my period and I’ve been having pregnancy symptoms but I took a test the day after my period was due and it was negative so idk if that means I’m not pregnant or if I should go ahead and test again in the morning. It’s really bothering me not knowing what is going on with me.
