My heart hurts…

Hannah

Back in January of 2018 I woke up with excruciating pain in my lower right abdomen. Naturally, I thought it was my appendix so I went to the ER. Turns out I had two cysts: one the size of a softball on my left ovary and the other the size of a baseball on my right ovary. The one on my right side had twisted and cut off blood supply to my ovary. They had to remove the ovary and Fallopian tube.

Fast forward to 2020 when my husband and I try to start getting pregnant. We tried for a year but I knew in my gut something was wrong so I went in to get tests run. I had a hysterosalopingagram (spelling?) done and I just got the information back from that test. Turns out my only remaining Fallopian tube is blocked. They could not push the ink past my uterus to see the Fallopian tube at all. The doctor who did the procedure tried twice to see if it was a fluke.

I was told I need exploratory surgery to see if they can figure out why the Fallopian tube is blocked. My gynecologist seemed to think that most surgeons will not attempt a removal of a blockage if they think it will be too dangerous. So now here I am: my husband and I are completely broke financially and emotionally now and in order to have a family of our own, we will have to fight tooth and nail for it.

My heart hurts. I just need encouragement and prayer. I honestly don’t know where else to turn. My husband is AMAZINGLY supportive. I have cried in his arms for hours since I found out yesterday but there is just something about knowing there are other women who understand the burden of taking on this heartache for the future of our families.
