Which would you rather work?

Longer evenings during the week but off on Saturday and Sunday. (Same days off as my husband and most of my family.) Or off on Friday and Saturday but you get off work at 5:30 through the week. (Pay is slightly higher)

I'm a little confused. How much longer is the longer shift compared to the one that ends at 530? I find 530 pretty late (I work till 530 on Thursdays). It also sounds like you'd have weekends off with both options? So why not take the 530 position with higher pay and weekends off?

Unless you’re trying to get away from hubby and family I’d say get the job that matches with their schedule. It’s the worst when you’re stuck at work and you know your husband is home with the kids or enjoying his day,. And you could be too if you just weren’t at work

Longer evenings. 
I worked a different schedule than my husband and it sucked not being able to spend all weekend with him. I eventually quit because the difference just sucked so much.

Longer evenings for sure. I used to work overnight and my husband morning and we had different days off. Was horrible not seeing each other and not being able to attend family gatherings together
