Spectra s1 vs Medela swing?

Hi guys :)
I just bought this sexy-looking beast after hearing so many good things about it... I'm trying not to freak out because it's already done and on its way! But man, it was so expensive! $379 (Aussie dollars) but I used a coupon and got it for $339 😅👌
I had the Medela Swing as a loan last pregnancy, 7 years ago with my twins, and I couldn't produce enough to exclusively breastfeed and ended up switching to mostly formula by 5 months or so. Then all formula from 8 months. This time I'd really like to get better production... has anyone first used the Medela and then used Spectra? Thanks heaps in advance 😊

I used a medela before my spectra came in and could never get enough suction. With the medela I was lucky to get an ounce out of both sides; with my spectra I was getting 3+ ounces from one side.

i have the Medela pump in style and didnt like it nearly as much as my Spectra S2 (same as S1 except im stuck to the wall). i think the Spectra is more gentle and definitely more effective!

I loved my spectra way more than my medala. There is a learning curve. My advice is try lots of different settings (I found some different methods on Pinterest) and make sure your flange sizing is correct. I don’t know if you have lactation consultants who help with pumping where you live, but if you do, see if you can get an appointment set up to help make sure you’re using it correctly. Pumping is great if you’re doing it right. If you’re doing it wrong, it can be uncomfortable and unproductive.
