Is it normal for my 8 month almost 9 month old to wake up so often at night? Sometimes he wakes up

Crying and needs comforting and goes back to sleep. And for sure he wakes up to eat twice in the night. He goes to bed at 8pm wakes up at midnight-1am-ish and eats, then he’ll wake up at 4am-ish to eat, back to sleep, then, he’s up for the day at 530am.

I’m killed to say the least, incredibly tired and just feeling so unrested. But. That’s how it’s been and he’s going to be 9months. I’ve added carbs to his feedings. And it helped a little. He wakes up twice at night instead of three. But I mean, he’s happy and playful, poop/pee normally. His feedings are a mix of meat, veggies, and fruit, and I’ve recently added rice or spaghetti. I still give him his formula as well. Everyone(family ) is saying he needs to sleep through the night, but then someone told me their baby always woke up too. I dk if i should talk to the doctor…I just dk.
