Eczema

Question

My sons developing some eczema that’s slowly spreading on his skin. I decided tonight I’ll call his doctors office in the morning and make an appointment. What natural remedies do you mamas recommend? I’m starting milk baths, no soap. Changing his soap back to newborn for clothes. Idk if it’s caused from heat as summe is getting super hot here. I also put some lotion on it that’s hydrating in hopes it may stop the itchy dry skin. Tia!

Make sure you are patch testing on the skin. I forgot and i tried aveeno eczema and my baby broke out in an awful rash. I also tries aquaphor and it worked ok but what worked for us was hello bello. My dr also recommended putting on a cream, lotion, oil etc right after a bath and make sure you dont dry baby off and dont over bathe them (warm water can dry out the skin.)

The Aveeno is awesome too. I have severe eczema and I’ve used both that one and this when it gets really bad. Make sure you switch everything out to unscented including whatever you’re washing his clothes in. A lot of people will try to tell you to cut out dairy, personally that never worked for me.

This is great during the day then they have a nighttime cream as well! Load up your baby before putting jammies on. Both my kids have eczema and it comes and goes with the weather. Heat (even hot bath water) doesn’t help and then in the winter it gets pretty bad. I switched their shampoo and body wash to Bubbsi. It’s not cheap, but it truly truly is a miracle worker!
