ECV coming up…anyone have any experiences?

Hello :) 
My baby is still breech and they have scheduled an ECV where they try to turn the baby head down. 
I had an apt today to discuss the risks and all of that….and very well aware it’s uncomfortable and painful. Has anyone had any experiences with this at all? I’d love to hear good/bad they would share?!

I had it done, successfully, with my first in 2014. My daughter was transverse at 32wks and full breach at 34-35. Mine was scheduled at 38wks. It lasted about ten min, was painful yes! I had a doula (who’s still with me with my 3rd this time around!), and she had me do certain exercises the week prior to the scheduled ECV. You should be able to lookup info on YouTube. It’s basically to help detach the legs from the pelvic area. Plus doing bath time twice a day and taking lots of liquids. She also said to talk to my daughter and tell her to turn if she wants to, because we don’t know why they go breach and it could be cord length, or wrapped around like in the other commenter’s case, etc. So I did. I spoke to her daily during my walks. And boy she turned. It took me out of breath for sure, yet was an incredible experience. Apparently only 10% success rate for first time mamas, which is what I was. But my fluids were good and I had done the exercises. She stayed in position till birth, was born exactly on her due date, naturally, no issues. It was my OB and her colleague, another OB, who did it together. Wishing you well!!!

If you get a bad feeling about it, don’t do it. I was going to do it with my daughter but I had a horrible gut feeling so I decided not to the morning of the procedure. I went through with a c section and the cord was wrapped around her neck… if I had done the ecv it would have potentially killed her..
