Flatulence out of no where???

Im a bit worried. My period is 9 days late and usually i have a rather irregular period but i feel like this is a bit much. today ive gotten minor cramps and FLATULENCE. ive never had flatulence before ever at least not that ive ever noticed!! but i very much noticed today and looked up the symptoms and its either pregnancy or period coming . I am sexually active but im on birth control (nexplanon) and that is the only protection me and my partner uses. Could it be possible that im pregnant or that my period is coming?!?? if it was pregnancy than that would be a very early symptom
