Is 20 young to have a baby?

Question

Forgot the financial side. Do you think a 20 year old is EMOTIONALLY mature enough for a child.  I feel like 16 would be young but not 20. What do you guys think?

I was not ready at 20, and I can't say I know any 20 year olds who are emotionally ready. But everyone is different and has different timelines.

At 20 i thought i was ready. And i would have been a badass mom. Infertility made me wait until 24 and I’m grateful for that in many ways. I never was one to like to go out much, and i started TTC at 17 and said i wouldn’t miss going out. And i ended up being grateful my husband amd i got to go out, travel, and have a few more years to ourselves before thrusting ourselves in to parenthood. 
20 can be ready but isn’t always.

I was 19 when I got pregnant, 20 when I had my first child.
I was not emotionally ready. Mostly because of the father. We were not ok together, we should have never had a child together (not saying I regret my child, just the bio father)
I was basically a single mom emotionally. 
I had to deal with so much bullshit from the father it made my life extremely hard.
YOU might be emotionally ready for a baby, but make sure your partner is the right person for you.

Depends on the person I got pregnant with my first at 20 had him at 21emotionally and mentally I was completly ready its something I'd always wanted the babies dad however was not ready and the relizasion of becoming a dad just never hit him so he never stopped doing certain things my first is now nearly 5 and hasn't seen his real dead in nearly 4 years im now 25 (26 this month) and I currently also have an 8 month old and am 20 weeks pregnant

i agree it depends on the person. not every 20 yr old is looking to go party. personally at 20 i was already settled down, had a great job, husband, 401k, i was more emotionally mature than my older sister which is why around 21 i started the process of adopting my nephew. i still went out for drinks but i always made sure my son was taken care of first.
on the flip side, i know a decent amount of 20yr olds that still act like/are children. they can barely wipe their own ass let alone a baby’s

20 is fine I know loads of young mums as long as your able to afford to have a child they not cheap 😂😂
