When did your doc started checking you for dilation??? This my 5th baby I’m 35 weeks today and was wondering so I won’t be surprised when I show up at the doc one day currently been seeing the doctor weekly since 32 weeks due to HBP and NST

Not all doctors do.  It’s kind of pointless before labor.  I’m at high risk for preterm labor so they watch my cervix but via ultrasound

Not until your in labour over here in Aus or if you get a stretch and sweep around 39/40 weeks

I believe 36 weeks is when most doctors start checking for dilation, at least that holds true at my doctors office.

Mine never did for my first 2, it is not necessary.

Never. I got asked during labour if I wanted to be checked. 
During my second labour I got to the hospital and was asked if I wanted to be checked. Said yes and I was not dilated at all, but was soft and low. Baby was out 2.5 hrs later. 
I don’t worry about dilation until well into labour.
