Safe to use?

Is it safe to give my daughter (2 1/2) amoxicillin that was prescribed for her in April?

Answer

No. It expires after a certain number of days, which is why they can't mix it before you pick it up. You'll need to call her doctor and have a visit for a new prescription. It really is not healthy, safe, or recommended to give antibiotic unless there is a confirmed/diagnosised bacterial infection. It will not work on viral or fungal infections and can make an illness worse if it is not what is needed to treat it. 
Also, considering it was for a previous illness, there wouldn't be enough to fully treat an new infection which is dangerous as well.
