Is this the same OP where you called your bf out about his disordered eating history but was pissed he called you ugly after? Cuz I dunno why tf you get to decide if you accept HIS apology.

I mean…call me toxic - but one time when my fiancé and I were arguing I said “all you do is sit on your fat ass” and he’s not fat..nor do I think he’s fat. It just rolled of the tongue in the heat of things and I was really annoyed with him and I let my frustration get the best of me. 
Sometimes we say things we know will cut deep because we’re so frustrated and it’s satisfying in the moment to say the most hurtful things - but often times we say things we don’t mean and when the dust settles, we regret it. Your boyfriend acknowledged that and apologized for it and I’m sure he didn’t mean it

People can say things in the heat of the moment when they are upset 
You obviously are taking it personally you guys may need to work on your communication with each other 
If it’s a once off let him apologise not work throwing away 7yrs 
However if it is everytime you have a disagreement that that be concerned

Yep. I was emotionally abused as a child. My looks being one of the main targets. My husband knows this. He knows my self esteem is in the gutter. It’s one of my strongest boundaries so I’d be gone in a heartbeat. It has less to do with the word itself and everything to do with him knowing the trauma behind it and not caring.

Yes, because I'm sure this isn't the first time he's said that to you, also it shows the lack of respect. Me personally, I couldn't look past it because it would always be in the back of my mind wondering if he's thinking that.

I don't know if i would necessarily break up if he did it once. If it becomes a pattern yes. I would think about if that is the man who I want my children to look up to and learn from.
