Went in for my 12 week scan today and everything was good. The baby’s heartbeat was 160 and the size was right on track. I didn’t get the chance to eat before I went in, I just woke up and went in for my appointment. I didn’t want to risk eating because I get extremely car sick since being pregnant.

When my gyno did the scan she worried me a lot because she said the baby wasn’t moving. She kept pushing my stomach around and going “hmmm no, no movement” in a worried tone. She even stopped the ultrasound and told me to drink hot chocolate and try again. So after my hot chocolate we tried again and there was a little bit of movement but not much. She made it a very stressful experience and told me I have to eat more and that the baby seems weak.

After reading up a bit online it seems like it was normal for the baby not to be moving much but now I’m worried.

Can anyone else reassure me that this is normal? Or am I right to be worried?
