Ugh! I just have to vent about how annoying it is that the US doesn't value parents taking time off after the birth of a baby. I am 37.5 weeks and after being told that I would be allowed to file FMLA paper work and take time off, I just got notified from HR that they made a mistake and I don't qualify. I am not even asking to be paid. I would take unpaid leave, but HR told me today I can take my vacation and sick time and then I have to comeback or I will risk losing my job and healthcare benefits. So frustrating! Sorry to anyone else experiencing this issue... It is total BS.
