When is it safe?

This is my first time taking some type of antibiotic while being on birth control… 
Today I was prescribed antibiotics (Azithromycin), 1 tablet for 5 days. On the pill bottle it didn’t say anything about making birth control less effective while taking Azithromycin… 
My question is: 
1.When is it okay to have unprotected sex? 
2.How long do my partner and I need to use a condom for?

Answer

Most commonly used antibiotics don’t affect birth control. If there’s nothing on the bottle or leaflet stating that those antibiotics affect the pill, then u should be fine. But, if u still want to be extra careful, then use condoms for, or wait, 7 full days AFTER taking the last of the antibiotics.
