Need some advice / reassurance. Swollen lymph node!

Good afternoon everyone! Im currently under a health anxiety attack and need some advice on my situation! Just to start off with I want to say that I will be mentioning this to my doctor and dentist next month!

Just to give some background

- I’m an 18 year old female

- I’ve smoked weed before, and had a few alcoholic beverages but not many, just typical teen things. I’ve not had over 50 drinks, and I’ve only smoked pot about 60 or so times in total? Not sure if this matters?

- I’m 5’7 and weigh around 175 pounds

- I’m not very active but I have a high matabolizum or however you spell that word, LOL!

- I have no family history of any kind of cancer. My family has pretty healthy, long living genes besides arthritis and bad knees

Anyway onto my worry:

I noticed in December after my wisdom teeth removal ( Impacted wisdom teeth ) that there was a slightly swollen lymph node underneath the middle of my jaw bone on the left side. Since then it has stayed around the same size, it’s not gotten bigger but it may have gotten a bit smaller? I’m not totally sure. It’s been here for 6 months now, at least I think it has, I just know I first noticed it in December after my wisdom teeth removal.

The lymph node is not hard, it’s actually kinda squishy but has a bit of firmness to it, but it is NOT rock hard at all. Like if I was just rubbing that area with all four fingertips I couldn’t differentiate it from just my muscles and such unless I specifically was feeling for it, if that makes sense. I had my mom feel it and she said it was movable.

I’ve had no other symptoms or anything.

I’d also like to note that from what I can tell, when I’m in the shower and the hot water is hitting my neck, it shrinks a bit to where it takes me a moment to find it by feeling about for it. So hot water seems to make it smaller, but once I’m out of the hot water it goes back to being like it was prior to the hot water.

I’d say it’s about the size of a green bean seed? Or about the size of a pinto bean. Maybe a tiny tiny tiny bit larger? I’m not to good with measuring stuff that I can’t see LOL.

From what I can tell it’s not noticeable by just looking at my neck/chin, it’s only noticeable when I’m feeling it. It’s painless as well. It’s never hurt or even been uncomfortable.

I do have post nasel drip and take nose spray and allergy medication.

I’ve had my main doctor feel it, and she wasn’t concerned and I’ve had doctors at med express feel it and they’ve never been concerned about it. They told me it was probably because of my allergies but I’m still worried!

I’m not sure if it was here before my wisdom teeth removal or not, but I know that I first noticed it after my wisdom teeth removal. I’d like to add they did take an X-ray before my wisdom teeth removal, like one that goes all around ur head but I’m not sure if they woulda seen anything about my lymph node on there.

Anyways, yeah, I’m really worried about cancer of the lymph nodes or a cancer that would cause this. Please help! I will be seeing a doctor soon, but I just need some help now as well because my health anxiety is going insane! Thank you!
